Racism can cost you money

Racism can cost you money. If you don’t believe me, just ask former Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling.

Sterling lost his NBA team after he unleashed a tapestry of racial epithets at his black girlfriend whom he did not want associating with black NBA players.

Or, you can turn your attention towards the city of Ferguson where everyone from the police chief, the county clerk, the judge, and the city manager are without a paycheck.

Yes, racism is expensive. Unfortunately for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity members at the University of Oklahoma, they’ve learned this lesson a little too late.

The SAE fraternity members were kicked off campus after they were caught on tape yelling racial epithets.

And two of the SAE fraternity members were expelled from the university for their lead role in the “racist” sing along.

So there goes that dorm deposit fee. The money that could’ve gone towards savings, graduate studies, or to pay off student loans is going to attorney fees.

I know many are wondering why some people behave this way and place themselves in these avoidable situations.

Well, one reason is that their mamas and daddies raised them to have hate in their hearts and they just don’t know any other way.

Then there’s the old broken hearted bit whereby the black girlfriend couldn’t stop looking at the black men and that just triggers hate for anything black and moving.

And finally, some people project their hate onto others as a way to not deal with the fact that they hate themselves.

Whatever the case maybe, the best thing to do is to not let everybody know that you have racism in your heart.

Just keep it there. Don’t let it out. Because if there’s one thing I know about racism, it will always cost you money whenever you let that hate in your heart out of your mouth.
